RevidianDev.com Gets A Refresh and a new Linux section!

Revidian Development's website got a tweak in it's theme today as well as some new additions.

Tweaks

As part of the updating of the Revidian sites, RevidianDev.com was updated today. We now have search using Google Custom Search, a wider page so that we can provide more content in less space, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and RSS feed icons, and are xhtml 1.1 and CSS 2.1 compliant.

Linux!!!

What we are most excited about today in the addition of the new Linux section. We are big supports of Linux and want to pass down our love for Linux to our visitors. You can visit the new Linux section by going to http://revidiandev.com/linux. We provide basic information on Linux as well as resources to learn more. This launch is just the beginning as we plan to gradually add more content to the section in the form of tutorials, articles, images, links, and eventually Linux compatible applications.

Revidian.com Gets A Slight Refresh

Revidian.com, the headquarters of Revidian Enterprises, has been slightly updated. The site now has a search feature (provided by Google of course), slightly wider (for more content), Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and RSS icons, and for the nerds, now xhtml 1.1 and CSS 2.1 compliant.

Of course you can see it for yourself at http://www.revidian.com or if you're lazy, the screen shot below.

Simon Remix Update Information

The next release of Simon Remix as well as any future products by Revidian Development will support BlackBerry OS v4.6.0 as the new minimum requirement. This means that if your BlackBerry has an OS version less than 4.6.0 (i.e. 4.2 or 4.5) you will not be able to install any updates or future products.

Am I affected?

If you have any of the BlackBerry Smartphones released within the last year, you should be okay. These include (but may not be limited to) the BlackBerry Curve 8900, BlackBerry Pearl Flip, BlackBerry Bold, BlackBerry Tour, and the BlackBerry Bold 9700.

If you have an older BlackBerry, you may or may not have OS 4.6 or higher. You can check by going onto your phone, Options->About. Your OS version will appear after your BlackBerry name and before the platform version.

How do I upgrade to the OS 4.6?

The best place you can go to to learn about your BlackBerry Smartphone, read guides, and to receive help from real people is PinStack.com. One guide to upgrading your OS can be found here (a PinStack guide).

Revidian Dev now has a Mobile Site!

It is now easier to download Revidian Dev apps from our website via our brand new mobile site.

You can now view the mobile version of RevidianDev.com by visiting http://m.revidiandev.com. This is useful when trying to download our applications via OTA as well as viewing the rest of the site in a mobile friendly format.

For some mobile devices (such as BlackBerry) the original URL revidiandev.com will also take you to the mobile site.

Seeing as how the mobile website is like a beta, expect slight changes here and there as we continue to improve it. You can submit any feedback you may have at the Revidian Dev Mobile Site thread in our forums.
